Can you tell me more about your payment plans ?
If I choose to register with the payment plan option, what are the payment methods ?
What airport do the participants of the workshop fly into, and will there be transportation arranged from the airport to the hotel and back again?
Until what time can I arrive and be sure to have someone to pick me up?
Are there any excursions planned for the event? And if not, will there be time in the schedule of dance/study to allow for excursions?
It seems that Mar de Jade is very remote but are there towns or interesting things nearby for my partner - friend to explore while I am in class?
I see that the price includes meals. We are both vegetarians, will the food be accommodating for vegetarians?

Can you tell me more about your payment plans?
I ask for a 300 $ minimum deposit at registration and then you can basically pay in up to as many different installments as months left till September.
For example if you start the plan in march and you take the guest room by yourself (1630 $), you would pay :
1630 $ - 300 $ / 7 = 190 $ every month
If you start the plan in May, you would pay :
1630 - 300 / 5 = 266 $ every month
If you want easy payments, the sooner you register, the smaller the monthly payments will be.
Then, we decide on the date of every monthly payment, keeping in mind the last payment has to happen in september.
You can also pay the balance at any time just by letting me know. Paying more than the minimum due at any given month is also possible.

If I choose to register with the payment plan option, what are the payment methods ?
The preferred way is through Paypal. Every month, I send you an invoice of the minimum amount due. You can choose to pay more just by letting me know before the agreed date of payment.


What airport do the participants of the workshop fly into, and will there be transportation arranged from the airport to the hotel and back again?
The closest airport is Puerto Vallarta, and it's 90 minutes away. Transportation to and from the airport is included in the retreat price. If you decide to fly through Guadalajara (3 hours away) you will be responsible for transportation to Mar de Jade


Until what time can I arrive and be sure to have someone to pick me up?
There will always be a shuttle wainting for you regardless of your arrival time. However, it is preferable to arrive in the afternoon, so you can be at the hotel for the first group supper.

Are there any excursions planned for the event? And if not, will there be time in the schedule of dance/study to allow for excursions?
There will be one day off during the week. (To be announced) Mar de Jade organizes excursions as they say here:

Our Guest Relations staff is ready to assist guests in planning excursions in the area. Excursions and Spa treatments are arranged at Mar de Jade once guests have arrived.

Snorkeling • Whale Watching • Fishing • Hike through tropical jungle mountainside to nearby beach and boat trip back • Visit to ancient Petroglyph site • Visit to local Arts & Crafts market • Horseback riding • Surfing • Spanish lessons are also available

Excursions are operated by local co-ops and and their availability as well as rates are subject to change without prior notice. Please be prepared to pay the tour operators directly in cash. Most excursions range between $15- $30 per person.

There are many excursions as previously stated. There are also great towns nearby to explore such as Sayulita (great for surfing, shopping, restaurants), San Pancho (hip town, nice beach), La Peñita on thursdays for market day, Puerto Vallarta if you want to go all out for shopping, restaurants, etc, and others. We can arrange for all of these excursions once you are here.

I see that the price includes meals. Will the food be accommodating for vegetarians?
Absolutely, we only serve seafood and chicken (no read meat or pork) but always provide vegetarian alternatives, as well as cater to food allergies and sensitivities.

How large is the room we will be dancing in, and how many students is the class capped at?
The retreat is limited to 20-25 participants. I want everybody to have attention from Mira

Is the weather warm for swimming in Nov? Will that be the time for whale watching?
Yes the weather is warm and perfect for swimming. Usually whale watching starts in December, so you might miss it, but there's no set date and it changes, so we will have to see once you are here whether they've been spotted yet (they migrate from Alaska every winter to breed in our area).

I have very little experience in oriental dance, can I still attend?
This retreat is suitable for all levels but a base in oriental dance can be helpful to follow correctly the dancing portion of the intensive.
